Membership of Sunshine Coast Reconciliation Group Incorporated involves making a commitment to the objectives of SCRGI. These objectives are aligned with Reconciliation Australia and Reconciliation Qld Inc of which SCRGI has group membership.
OBJECTIVES
Sunshine Coast Reconciliation Group Inc works to foster understanding, respect and meaningful reconciliation between First Nations peoples and non-First Nations Australians through education, engagement and community participation.
We do this by creating opportunities for learning, listening and authentic connection, guided by First Nations voices wherever possible.
Our work includes
- Supporting cultural sharing led by First Nations peoples
- Facilitating truth-telling and shared history seminars
- Hosting the annual Aunty Betty Memorial Reconciliation Week Walk
- Hosting the annual First Nations Allies Day
- Participating in and supporting local community events
- Contributing to National Reconciliation Week
- Supporting and promoting NAIDOC Week activities

- Respect and recognition
- Deep listening and dialogue
- Creating spaces for learning and discussion
- Facilitating opportunities for connection
- Reflecting on and monitoring our progress as allies
MEMBERSHIP DETAILS
Membership for individuals is free of charge and for organisations it is $20 per annum. We encourage individuals to donate in lieu of a membership fee to the following account (please note we are not a registered charity, therefore donations are not tax-deductible). You can donate here via PayPal

Membership expires on 30th June each year. Membership should be renewed to keep SCRGI membership current and contact details up-to-date. New membership must be approved by the committee.
SCRGI has a management committee which meets monthly. Current membership allows you to join the management committee. Please note that SCRGI holds public liability insurance.
